This book is full of photographs taken by Paul Faris as he traveled through Madison, Newton & Searcy Counties of Arkansas in the summer of 1949 through 1952 when people still made the cabins their homes. Then photographed the same cabins in 1969 and compared the two. The photos in this wonderful book, along with the stories included with them, helps give us a glimpse of life when it was lived in a log cabin in the Ozarks. Indexed.
